1978 Speke built car, originally Russet Brown. Registered in Portsmouth sold by Wadham Stringer, 3 owner car, 52000 miles, Automatic Coupe.
Resprayed Red at some point, timing chain/tensioner failure resulted in damage to valves, cylinder head was repaired and was run for ? how long.
Parked up in Hayling Island for approx. 15 years, bought by me 2015.
Stripped to shell, resprayed in Ermine white, original interior reinstalled.
Cylinder head valves renewed, head skimmed, engine rebored +20 and new pistons installed, new crankshaft bearings, crankshaft polished, new fuel, oil and water pumps, Accuspark ignition installed, new viscous fan coupling, original radiator, new hoses, new timing chain and guides, original three speed auto gearbox refurbished by The Gearbox Specialists Bournemouth (£500) new gearbox oil cooler, new shock absorbers all round, new brake cylinders pads and shoes new tyres and stainless steel exhaust, new windscreen, carburettors professionally rebuilt as was engine.
